Middle Atlantic Junior Olympic changes and announcements. The meet will be held at the Gloucester County Institute of Technology in accordance with the updated schedule.
Distance events will start on Wednesday afternoon. Preliminary events for older swimmers will be held Thursday with finals on Friday. Swimmers 10 & under will swim Timed Final events on Friday. Saturday and Sunday schedules will revert to the normal format. These changes are necessary due to the restrictions imposed by GCIT on the Friday schedule – Middle Atlantic will not be able to host any sessions of the JO meet while school is in session. The coaches will submit all JO entries through the online meet entry (OME) system.
OME will close at 2:00 PM EST March 5, 2015!
Please submit all entries and payment no later than Monday, March 2 by the conclusion of practice.

Central Pennsylvania 9 & Under Mini Champs

* * * The swimmers age will be determined as of December 1, 2014. * * *
Purpose: To provide 9 & under swimmers an opportunity to swim in a Championship type meet at the end of their season
Facilities: This meet will be run in an eight lane competitive pool with adjustable bulkhead, and fully automatic timing. Adjustable bulkhead allows for 25 yard course with a five lane 25 yard warm down area The starting end has a depth of 13 feet. The facility is equipped with Adolph Keiffer Wave Eater lane lines, Colorado Timing System, Aqua Grip electronic pads, and a ten-line readout scoreboard. Seating for up to 500 swimmers on deck and spectator balcony seating for up to 400. Free parking next to the building. The water depth at the turn end of the pool is 5 feet. There will be no “Seeding Area” to stage swimmers. Teams will be responsible to see their swimmers behind the blocks. The host team will have volunteers behind the blocks to double check swimmers are in the proper lanes.
Meet Time Line:
Doors Open: 7:15 a.m.
General Warm-up: 8-8:50am
Meet begins: 9:00 a.m.
Meet ends: 1:00 p.m.
Entries: Each swimmer may swim a maximum of four (4) individual events, and (2) two relays.

Entry Fees: $5.00 per individual event

Applications are now being taken for the 2015 Middle Atlantic Short Course Zone Team. Application Deadline is March 6, 2015. The meet will take place at the Webster Aquatic Center in Webster, NY. March 26-March 28, 2015.
The Middle Atlantic Winter Zone Team takes the top two (top three in the 11-12 and 10 & Under age groups) Middle Atlantic swimmers in each event to compete against the other LSCs in the Eastern Zone. To participate, you must be a Middle Atlantic USA registered swimmer. If this is your first year as a registered Middle Atlantic swimmer, you must have swum in at least three Middle Atlantic sanctioned swim meets this year. If you have been MA registered for more than one year, you must have swum in at least five Middle Atlantic sanctioned meets in the previous two years. In addition, any 13 & Over swimmer who has achieved a USA Swimming Junior National, USA Swimming Spring Championships (using the 18/U qualifying times), US Open, USA Swimming Nationals, or a Trials Class Meet qualifying time in an individual event is not eligible to complete at zones. Any swimmer 12 or younger who has achieved a qualifying time for one of the above listed meets, but has not competed at any of those meets, may still participate at zones.
